About Us

Chelsey Lindell, MSW, LCSW

My love for horses began at a young age, spending time with my grandparents on their ranch in Wyoming. Some of my favorite childhood memories were made there, where I learned firsthand the quiet strength, patience, and connection that horses naturally offer. At the time, I didn't realize those experiences would one day shape my career.

Years later, while I was in graduate school, a close friend generously shared her horses with me during a season when I needed them most. Spending time with them became more than just an escape—it became a place of healing. The peace, grounding, and unconditional presence I experienced with those horses helped me navigate life's challenges in a way that traditional settings alone could not. That experience sparked a dream: to one day provide that same opportunity for others.

I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Denver and began my career in 2014 working with the Department of Human Services, supporting children and families who had experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, and other significant life challenges. Throughout those years, I saw how many individuals struggled to put words to their experiences and how healing often happens through connection rather than conversation alone. That realization led me to become certified in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, allowing me to combine evidence-based mental health treatment with the unique healing relationship between people and horses.

Today, I am the founder of Unbridled Resilience Therapy, where I integrate Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. My passion is helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges while discovering their own resilience.

Outside of the therapy space, I'm also a wife and a mom to two energetic young boys. Becoming a parent has deepened my understanding of the joys, challenges, and emotional demands that come with raising children. I know firsthand that parenting can be both incredibly rewarding and incredibly hard, and I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space for parents who are trying to care for both their children and themselves.

Whether we're sitting in the office or working alongside the horses, my goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered. I believe healing doesn't require having all the answers, it begins with feeling safe enough to take the next step. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they rediscover hope, resilience, and the confidence to move forward.

Why Equine thearpy?

At Unbridled Resilience, we understand that traditional therapy doesn't work for everyone. That's why we take a unique approach by introducing horses as part of our team. Our sessions are ground-based and involve no horseback riding, so no prior horse experience is necessary. Our therapeutic services promote increased resilience which improves emotional intelligence, and fosters lasting change. Our team is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can rebuild their strengths and overcome their personal and professional struggles.
